Nathan Fey and the Colorado Office of Outdoor Recreation Industry invite you to join outdoor industry champions from across the state Thursday, Oct. 3 - Friday, Oct. 4 for the Colorado Outdoor Industry Leadership Summit (COILS). As we strive to develop a flourishing recreation-based economy in Colorado, we seek to gather leaders from across Colorado's outdoor industry to help establish and execute our vision for the future.
WHO
CEOs, Colorado government officials, executive directors, entrepreneurs, students, and leaders from across the state that represent the outdoor economy in Colorado.
WHAT
A day of networking, ideas and expert discussions that are designed to catalyze the action we need to elevate and sustain our flourishing outdoor ecosystem in Colorado. Topics include Economic Development, Conservation, Education/Workforce Training and Health and Wellness.
The day will be made up of four panels of industry leaders and partners that will discuss the following questions:
- How do we act with intent and with a better understanding of the impact the outdoor recreation economy has on our outdoor spaces and the people around us?
- How do we support diverse programming and education systems that foster a creative and innovative outdoor workforce, particularly in rural regions of Colorado?
- What efforts can we support that help conserve and steward public lands and waters, while stewarding climate resiliency?
- How do we support healthy outdoor lifestyles at home, work and while at play?
Following each panel will be breakout sessions that will dive deeper into the questions, with the intent of creating action items for the industry to advance.
October 3 dinner, and October 4 breakfast and lunch will be provided.
